World Horizons began in the early 1980s when a group of young people asked God where in the world He wanted them to go.

Drawn by adventure and a desire to follow His leading, they stepped out in faith and settled in new countries. There, they witnessed the transforming power of Jesus at work in lives and communities. Many of these faithful pioneers are still part of our movement today, and their legacy continues to shape who we are.
