These conversations often lead us into new things happening as we connect our visions and align them to the voice of the Holy Spirit.

A recurrent theme in our discussions has been our physical senses — like sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste — and how we rely on them to perceive things such as light, colour, shape, sound, and pressure. Beyond these, we also possess spiritual senses that allow us to discern qualities like goodness, evil, beauty, and truth, and to receive divine communication.

Spiritual senses are integral to our conscience—built into the fabric of our God-given spiritual awareness. They help us recognise good and evil and discern matters of the Spirit.

Throughout Scripture, prophets often described these faculties as spiritual “eyes” and “ears,” emphasizing their role in perceiving divine realities. Unlike our physical senses, these inner senses operate in the unseen realm and offer profound insight into God’s activity.

The advancement of God’s kingdom and the fulfilment of our divine calling depend on cultivating spiritual senses—an inner awareness that discerns what God is saying and doing in our lives, and recognizes where He desires to lead us. These senses enable us to perceive His purposes with greater clarity, aligning our hearts and actions with His will as we follow His guidance forward.

These spiritual senses empower us to discern deeper truths—what Scripture refers to as “solid food.” Like muscles, they grow stronger through consistent practice and use. Without them, spiritual growth is stunted; with them, we become receptive to divine revelation, mature in our walk with God, and more effective in the work He has called us to accomplish.

During this prayer month, we invite you to journey through the book of Nehemiah, exploring the lessons of a man who bore a deep burden and responded obediently to an extraordinary calling—one that transformed the reality of his people. As we reflect on his story, may we learn to pray with fresh perspective, our spiritual senses awakened and alert to what God is preparing for us in 2026.

Each Thursday, starting from January 8th finishing on the 29th, we will publish reflections and prayer prompts. We invite you to join us as we connect, search, and explore prayer through our spiritual senses.

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_button button_text=”Week 1 – Hearing God” _builder_version=”4.27.5″ _module_preset=”default” theme_builder_area=”post_content” hover_enabled=”0″ sticky_enabled=”0″ button_url=”@ET-DC@eyJkeW5hbWljIjp0cnVlLCJjb250ZW50IjoicG9zdF9saW5rX3VybF9wb3N0Iiwic2V0dGluZ3MiOnsicG9zdF9pZCI6IjIzNDMifX0=@” _dynamic_attributes=”button_url”][/et_pb_button][et_pb_button button_url=”@ET-DC@eyJkeW5hbWljIjp0cnVlLCJjb250ZW50IjoicG9zdF9saW5rX3VybF9wYWdlIiwic2V0dGluZ3MiOnsicG9zdF9pZCI6IjEzMDUifX0=@” button_text=”Book discovery call” _builder_version=”4.27.4″ _dynamic_attributes=”button_url” _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”post_content”][/et_pb_button][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]

¡Enero es nuestro mes anual de oración de Horizontes Mundiales!
