Obviamente eu disse que sim. \u201cEu sabia que voc\u00ea o conhecia. Jesus era uma pessoa formid\u00e1vel\u2026\u201d, completou o cavalheiro. E ent\u00e3o ele me contou por que Jesus \u00e9 importante e come\u00e7amos a falar sobre Aquele que me colocou em seu caminho. Ao chegar onde ele deveria estar, ele me apresentou como \u201cseu filho\u201d (normal na cultura daqui) e nos despedimos. Pude v\u00ea-lo novamente em outra ocasi\u00e3o, e tivemos uma \u00f3tima conversa novamente.
Servir a Deus nos traz surpresas incr\u00edveis. S\u00e3o experi\u00eancias que nunca podemos esquecer, mesmo em lugares de dif\u00edcil acesso, onde h\u00e1 muitos obst\u00e1culos, como aqui no Norte da \u00c1frica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No entanto, \u00e0 medida que andamos com Ele, o pr\u00f3prio Deus nos mostra pessoas para as quais podemos ser uma luz. Durante esses quase 8 anos de servi\u00e7o para Ele e para as pessoas aqui, somos profundamente gratos a Deus por cada \u201cencontro\u201d \u00fanico, cada conversa sobre o c\u00e9u, cada sorriso, aperto de m\u00e3o e amizade. Sim, queremos muito mais do que \u201ccontatos\u201d, queremos amigos, e sendo amigos deles, seremos capazes de mostrar como eles podem ser amigos de Deus. Com absoluta certeza, \u00e9 uma miss\u00e3o maravilhosa!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Vivemos perto de muitos monumentos hist\u00f3ricos, e quando nos damos conta de como os berberes viviam antes e reconhecemos um s\u00edmbolo da trindade em um tapete berbere, nos leva a crer que Deus nos deixou um caminho a seguir para que possamos encontrar pessoas como este senhor. S\u00e3o jovens, crian\u00e7as, estudantes, empres\u00e1rios... Sim, pessoas ao nosso redor que podem ver em n\u00f3s o Cristo que proclamamos. Tantas oportunidades, tantas pessoas e t\u00e3o pouco testemunho da Luz. Vamos obedecer ao Mestre e pedir mais trabalhadores para a colheita. Que Deus nos envie mais pessoas, para aqueles norte-africanos que precisam ver a Luz.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Um dia, quando eu estava indo para o escrit\u00f3rio, um senhor idoso me pediu para ajud\u00e1-lo a descer no ponto de \u00f4nibus. Ele era cego. Segurando seu bra\u00e7o, ele me agradeceu muito, falando palavras de b\u00ean\u00e7\u00e3o para mim. Ent\u00e3o ele me perguntou: \u201cmeu filho, voc\u00ea conhece Jesus?\u201d<\/p>\n
Eu levei um susto! Bem, eu estava l\u00e1 para testemunhar por Ele para as pessoas atrav\u00e9s do meu comportamento e palavras! Obviously I said yes. \"I knew you knew him. Jesus was a formidable person\u2026\", completed the gentleman. And then he told me why Jesus is important and we started talking about the One who put me in his path. Upon arriving where he was supposed to be, he introduced me as \"his son\" (normal in the culture here) and we said goodbye. I was able to see him again on another occasion, and we had a great conversation again.
Serving God brings us incredible surprises. These are experiences that we can never forget, even in places that are difficult to access, where there are many obstacles, like here in North Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, as we walk with Him, God Himself shows us people that we can be a light for. During these almost 8 years of service for Him and people here, we are deeply grateful to God for each unique \"meeting\", each conversation about heaven, each smile, handshake and friendship. Yes, we want much more than \"contacts\", we want friends, and been friends to them we will be able to show how they can be friends to God. With absolute certainty, it is a wonderful mission!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We live close to many historical monuments, and when we realize how Berbers lived before and recognizing a symbol of the trinity in a Berber rug, leads us to believe that God has left us a path to follow so that we can find people like this gentleman. They are young people, children, students, businessmen\u2026 Yes, people around us who can see in us the Christ we proclaim. So many opportunities, so many people and so little testimony of the Light. Let\u2019s obey the Master and ask for more workers for the harvest.
